More Liquid Light

Printed on old plates found at Alex's new house. The old woman that lived there before left a lot of her stuff there when she died. These plates were too pretty to pass up. The tiles are tests, most of which went awfully wrong, the emulsion lifted so I couldn't wash the fix off properly, so it degraded the emulsion (the yellow).

Contact Print of a fork and some Catty sequins...

AARGH

Emulsion lifted, and dried in a brain/bum-print shape.

Almost, but still a bit arrgh.

Printed a 35mm Negative in the Medium-format enlarger. Still lifting and warping.

The plates are all medium format negs, with the exception of the gold one...

Plate 1, The emulsion likes plates much more than tiles, no sign of the dreaded lifting/warping

Plate 2, a bit overexposed, but the contrast is weird with the emulsion, really extreme.

Sprayed the inside of the plate white first, to give a better surface/background colour. The white area of the photographs is actually clear when using liquid light, so the colour of the object to be printed on is important...

Favorite.

Poppy's face printed onto a gold plate. Actually from ASDA, for £1, a christmassy thing, apparently.
